Five Emerging Designers for FashioNXT UpNXT Runway
FashioNXT announced five designers to compete in the 2016 UpNXT fashion accelerator.
A panel of six of the most influential personalities in Portland’s fashion industry including Project Runway winners Michelle Lesniak and Seth Aaron, boutique owners Annie Bocci, and Sara Weinstein of FlairWalk, Marjorie Skinner former editor at Portland Mercury, and Eden Dawn, Style Editor of Portland Monthly unanimously chose these extroadinary designers, who will compete for a title on the runway on Oct. 5, during 2016 FashioNXT:The Shows (Oct 5-8).
Andrea Jenkins of MOORE, Vanessa Froehling of Fräulein Couture, Michiya Stine and Eve Styles with Eve Skywalker from Portland will be joined by Seattle designer Nora Suarez with LOURDES é EVA on the opening night’s show of fifth anniversary of FashioNXT. UpNXT is the only fashion accelerator program on the West Coast catapulting emerging designers to successful career year after year.
FashioNXT will mentor each of the designers as they prepare their collections for the finale competition. The winner will receive a benefit package including a cash prize, PR and business support, designed to catapult their career to the next level, and will be culminated into a full collection at next year’s FashioNXT, completing the 14-month long program.
